I was searching for Randi to let him know about the Reunion. I found his Uncle and he told me that Randi was lost in the Cayman Islands in the 80's. He was an expert sailor who had represented Quebec in the Provincials. They located his cattamarang upside down but never found his body.

Bev (Chapman) McLaughlin (1968) - Schoolmate

Randi graduated the year I was born, 1966. It was the Cayman Islands where he passed away (on a business trip), 2 weeks after he had gotten married, and 2 weeks before his 27th birthday. It happened in 1977. He was a great "big brother", so sad that he died so young.

I was so sorry to hear of Randy's death. What a shame. When so many kids in high school can be so uncharitable, Randy was a really nice guy. I cherish his memory and send my condolences to his wife and family.
