I was searching for Janice to let her know about the Reunion. I found her Dad and he told me that Janice had died of cancer and did not see her 50th Birthday.

I just today heard of Janice's death and it struck hard. Janice was one of my best friends all through high school. Outwardly she had that English reserve (her mom and dad were from England), but once you got to know her, she was a very warm and caring person.

As is often the case, we lost touch after high school and I often wondered how she was doing. I spoke to her one time and she was happily married with a child(in school she often said she would never have kids because she was terrified of childbirth).

I remember the days when we got all dressed up (skin-tight jeans, big sweaters, light pink lipstick and hair teased and sprayed). We'd walk down to the coffee shop in the Apothecary pharmacy to see who was hanging out.......maybe some cute boys!

I have many happy memories and Janice is in many of them. I am very saddened to hear of her death.
