Karen lived right around the corner from me.  I have thought of her often over the years.  She lived a very short life here on earth but she impacted many lives while she was here.  Karen is very much missed.

The picture below captures one of the many special moments of innocence and laughter that Karen and I shared.  That is the way I remember Karen.  I am glad to have known her. Karen will always be remembered as a caring and thoughtful friend.

Karen Silk had a beautiful smile and taught me kindness. We didn't know each other well. Her cute brothers were in my grade. For some reason,Karen knew my name and used it. I thought she was the kindest person at Riverdale High.
